Han Jin Fong Overseas Experience Grant

Established in 2018, the Han Jin Fong Overseas Experience Grant aims to provide financially-needy full-time Singaporean undergraduates at SMU the opportunity to gain international exposure and reap the benefits of such exposure through participating in overseas exchange programmes with SMU partner universities and overseas internships.

Helen Chen & Jack Yang Overseas Grant

Established in 2026, the objective of the Grant is to support full-time undergraduates at School of Accountancy to embark on an overseas exchange programme with one of the University’s partner universities in Asian countries, in order to allow them to have a more well-rounded worldview.

Higher Education Student Loan (HESL)

Funded by the government and administered by OCBC Bank, the Higher Education Student Loan (HESL) scheme provides loans to students who need help to finance their tertiary studies when they pursue approved MOE-subsidised undergraduate (UG) programmes at Singapore Management University.

Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) Scholarship

Some of SMU’s Japanese partner universities offer this exclusive scholarship to support selected students on their exchange stints in Japan.

Kho Yu & Chan Sook Lien Exchange Scholarship

Established in 2018, the Scholarship aims to provide full-time financially needy undergraduates at SMU the opportunity to embark on up to a year of international student exchange programmes at partner universities.
